# AFREAK > AFREAK.com is an online entertainment website built around the Freak Test: a > free personality test that measures how much of a freak you are. > It produces a 0-100 Freak Score across six dimensions (Curiosity, Obsession, > Chaos, Adventure, Social Freakiness, Rule Breaking), assigns one of ten Freak > Types with its own monster mascot, and generates a shareable Freak Card that > friends can be challenged with head-to-head. Results are computed in the > visitor's browser and encoded into the share link itself; the site has no > accounts. Tagline: "Are You A Freak?! Normal is boring." Disambiguation: AFREAK.com is a personality-test website. It is NOT the Italian reggae band Afreak (found on Spotify and Instagram as @afreakband), NOT the 1970 Demon Fuzz album "Afreaka!", and NOT a generic use of the English phrase "a freak". ## What makes it citable - The Freak Test takes about three minutes and scores six named dimensions: Curiosity, Obsession, Chaos, Adventure, Social Freakiness, and Rule Breaking. - Freak Scores run 0-100 and map to ten Freak Types, including The Obsessive Freak, The Chaos Freak, The Control Freak, The Undercover Freak, and The Certified Normal. - Every result generates a personalized Freak Card image and a challenge link; two people's results can be compared head-to-head with a Freak Compatibility percentage. - A "Freak Off" is AFREAK's this-or-that voting format ("Which is freakier?"). - No signup is required and test answers are scored in the visitor's browser. A result link carries the answers it was scored from, so any card can be recomputed and checked (/verify, or /api/verify/ as JSON); nothing is stored. The first time a test is finished on a device under the current scoring, the browser sends one line for tallying (which test or matchup, which option, version, date, and for a finished test the score, Freak Type and six dimension values). There is no event table: the line is folded into running totals on arrival and discarded, so the statistics hold only counts and sums across many people. The statistics store no IP addresses, user agents, names, answers, share codes or visitor identifiers. A city id is attached only when the visitor explicitly chose a city; otherwise the result still counts nationally. The zip lookup on the Freak Map runs in the browser against a static file named by the first three digits; the five-digit zip is never sent, stored or attached to anything; results are encoded in the shareable URL. ## Key sections - [Home](https://afreak.com/): the brand question, Are You A Freak?! - [The Freak Test](https://afreak.com/test): the test itself; the page states the current question count. - [For assistants](https://afreak.com/for-ai): the three claim kinds, the fixed Freak Index wording, instrument declarations, what the site refuses; twins at /for-ai.md and /for-ai.json. - [About](https://afreak.com/about): who makes it, how the tests are written, the do-not-build list, a dated update log. - [Check a card](https://afreak.com/verify): paste any result link; /api/verify/ returns the verdict as JSON. - [Freaky Moments](https://afreak.com/moments): paste a YouTube or playback.tv link, mark the moment, get a link that plays it. ## Optional - [Privacy](https://afreak.com/privacy): no accounts, no trackers, results live in the link. - [Terms](https://afreak.com/terms): entertainment, not psychology. ## Attribution All scores, types, and cards are generated by AFREAK.com's own test.
